In 2019 Community Foundation of North Louisiana established the Lincoln Parish Fund for the benefit of the Ruston area and its community members. Since that time the Fund has granted $125,000 to organizations assisting in disaster relief related to the April 25, 2019 tornado. Now, the Lincoln Parish COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund has been established to help nonprofit organizations that are directly responding to the coronavirus pandemic. Grants will be made from the fund to nonprofit organizations, churches, and other eligible charitable organizations as recommended by the Lincoln Parish Advisory Council, which is made up of Ruston community leaders. Grants from this fund will be coordinated with the response of other organizations and local and state government. Details on how nonprofits might request and access general operating resources from the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund will be announced at a later date, once donations have begun to accumulate in the Fund.
Community Foundation of North Louisiana is a 501(c)3 public charity. All donations are tax-exempt. 100% of the proceeds donated will be granted to nonprofits. No fee will be assessed by CFNLA.
