CFNLA 2021 Community Counts

Accurate data is essential to help our community set priorities, track progress, formulate policy, and allocate resources. To help drive change in our area, the Community Foundation has been tracking data and publishing Community Counts since 2008. Data for the Shreveport-Bossier Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) is collected and tracked in six categories – Population, Economics, Human Capital, Health, Social Environment, and Physical Environment. For the Community Foundation, this data guides all that we do.

We encourage all to use Community Counts to start and accelerate community discussions, as a roadmap for social capital investment, or as a call to action for philanthropy and volunteerism.

Dr. Dave Norris, Chief Research and Innovation Officer at Louisiana Tech University, will present this year’s data at a special event on October 14 at 4:00 PM.

Please read the following COVID-19 guidelines required by LSUS for events at LSUS:

In the spirit of doing our part in reducing the spread of COVID 19, LSUS will initiate the following Visitor Policy on October 1st.

Event’s Visitor Policy: While cases of COVID 19 remain high in our region, LSUS will institute the following mitigation efforts in regards to vaccination and/or negative COVID test results:

Proof of Vaccination or a Negative Covid Test

ACCEPTED METHODS OF VACCINE VERIFICATION:

• L.A. Wallet App / SMART Health Card
• An original, digital photo or photocopy of a C.D.C. Vaccination Card with a name matching your I.D. Full cards must be visible on digital or printed copies.
• Another form of official vaccination record from another state, foreign nation, or the W.H.O.

ACCEPTED METHODS OF COVID-19 TEST VERIFICATION:

• A physical or electronic COVID-19 test with a negative test result within 7 days of arrival at the event with name matching your I.D.
