For more than 60 years, Community Foundation of North Louisiana has provided philanthropic resources and leadership to address our region’s greatest needs. It is our mission to improve the quality of life in North Louisiana by inspiring generosity, strengthening area nonprofits, and convening groups and experts to effect positive, lasting change.
From a founding gift of $2.3 million in 1959, CFNLA has partnered with numerous individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations to grow our community’s endowment to over $170 million. In that time, CFNLA has awarded more than $120 million in grants to worthy charitable initiatives.
In 2023, CFNLA facilitated a record-breaking Give For Good, raising a total of $2.75 million for North Louisiana nonprofits. Over $3 million in Competitive Grants were also awarded to support arts, economic development, education, environment, health, and human services initiatives in Caddo and Bossier Parish. Since 2019, CFNLA has worked tirelessly to raise awareness about the importance of early childhood education to ensure the long-term educational success of every child. In doing so, CFNLA has helped Caddo Parish secure nearly $4 million in state funding for early childhood scholarships for low-income children ages 0 to 3.
