Glenn V. Kinsey
In June 2025, Glenn V. Kinsey completed ten years of service to CFNLA as a member of the Board of Directors. During his tenure he was a member of the Audit, Finance, Investment, and Nominating Committees and served as Treasurer (2017-2019), Vice Chairman (2019-2021), and Chairman (2021-2023). Glenn combined business experience from his family investment and asset management company, Kinsey Interests, with his deep commitment to philanthropy to lend invaluable support to the North Louisiana community through his work with CFNLA.
Though Glenn notes that his ten-year board tenure has “gone by in a flash,” he also recognizes this decade as a period of notable growth. During Glenn’s board service, CFNLA’s long-term pool for competitive grants has more than doubled, allowing for $3.8 million to be granted to nonprofit organizations in 2025. He has also seen an increase in new funds established through bequests and family gifts, especially Donor Advised Funds, a trend he attributes to CFNLA’s solid reputation in the community as a good steward of donors’ investments and intentions. CFNLA’s online giving day, Give For Good, was in its infancy when Glenn joined the board – today, it is a highly-anticipated annual event raising millions of unrestricted dollars each year for local nonprofits.
Of the many program areas CFNLA serves – human services, arts, healthcare, economic development, civic engagement, and the environment – Glenn believes education is the best long-term solution to many of our community’s challenges. He is proud of the collective progress made in this area, especially CFNLA’s leadership in securing matching funds from the State of Louisiana for the Early Childhood Education Scholarship Initiative.
Motivated by the call to “Love Your Neighbor,” Glenn’s life exemplifies “the three Ts:” time, talent, and treasure. These guiding principles, he believes, are accessible to everyone. “You don’t have to serve on the board of a foundation. Giving your time can be through your church, civic organizations, or as simple as taking the time to be patient with others in traffic or the elderly,” says Glenn. “Everyone has some talent that makes you unique. Use that talent to help others. Treasure, that’s in the eyes of the beholder. Consider the story of the ‘widows’ mite.’ We should all give something, even a mite.”
Glenn will continue to serve as a community member of CFNLA’s Investment Committee in 2025-2026.
James H. Campbell IV
CFNLA is excited to welcome James H. Campbell IV (Jimmy) to Community Foundation of North Louisiana’s Board of Directors. Jimmy is a National Account Representative for Cost Segregation Services, LLC, a specialty tax firm providing engineering-based services which allow commercial property owners to unlock complex tax benefits. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, served as an active-duty Army officer, and later earned an MBA degree from Louisiana State University.
Jimmy believes board service is an excellent avenue for people to volunteer their time and talent to organizations working to make a positive impact on their local community, noting the diverse skills and experiences offered by board members help organizations run effectively and transparently. A bonus of board service, according to Jimmy, is the chance to meet new people while collaborating for a common goal.
Having previously served on a CFNLA grant review committee, Jimmy is eager to learn more about the meaningful work being done by local nonprofit organizations. He looks forward to working with CFNLA staff and his fellow board members to accomplish the collective mission of promoting philanthropy and improving the quality of life in North Louisiana.
