Program: In order to qualify, the proposed program must demonstrate a need for funding as a direct consequence of the COVID-19 Pandemic due to one of the following: 1) the existing program has expanded in size and scope due to an increase in the number of clients as a result of COVID-19; 2) the program has become more expensive due to a change in circumstances directly resulting from COVID-19, including expenses related to reopening; or 3) the program is new and has been created to respond to needs directly related to COVID-19.
CFNLA understands many local nonprofits are currently experiencing economic hardship due to COVID-19. COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund grants are intended for organizations experiencing an increase in expenses due to providing services directly related to COVID-19. Notably, for Competitive Grant applications (either 2020 Round Two or 2021), CFNLA will consider funding requests focused on a nonprofit’s long-term financial recovery.
