DESCRIPTION:The Grayson Foundation is a private foundation that is committed to improving the quality of life in Shreveport-Bossier. Grant applications are accepted twice annually\, however\, organizations may apply only once in a 12-month period. Applications open on September 15 at 8:00 AM and the deadline to apply is October 15 at 4:00 PM. Awards will be announced in January. \nThe Grayson Foundation typically awards grants to programs serving disadvantaged populations in Shreveport-Bossier in the health\, human services\, and education sectors. DESCRIPTION:Join the Women’s Philanthropy Network on September 29th! \nCFNLA’s Women’s Philanthropy Network is hosting an informational membership event on Thursday\, September 29 at 5:30 p.m. at 1045 Erie Street\, Shreveport\, LA 71106. Philanthropically minded women are invited to learn more about the WPN. \nFounded in 2005\, the Women’s Philanthropy Network (WPN) is a group of women dedicated to making positive change through philanthropy.  Members pool their annual dues to make a high-impact grant to local organizations with a focus on education. Each year\, members solicit grant applicants and ultimately vote on which organization will receive a WPN grant. \nSince inception\, the WPN has granted over $1.3 million to educational initiatives in our community.  Past recipients include Volunteers of America of North Louisiana\, Volunteers for Youth Justice\, Step Forward\, the Caddo Parish Schools Transformation Zone\, and the LSU Shreveport Foundation. \nPlease RSVP here.
