DESCRIPTION:Following the Resilience screening and community conversations on the effects of childhood trauma\, we invited Dr. Stacia’ Alexander from Dallas to discuss how her mental health clinic at Paul Quinn College has assisted in raising the college’s retention rate from 38 to 71 percent. With over 20 years’ experience as a licensed professional counselor\, Dr. Alexander will speak about breaking the link between mental health and poverty by preparing students for adulthood through mental healthcare. \nRead more about her work in this article from the George W.
